Following their first drop of the Fall 2020 capsule collection back in November, the National Basketball Association (NBA) and French luxury fashion house, Louis Vuitton, have proceeded with their three-year collaboration by releasing a Pre-Fall 2021 capsule collection which will hit stores worldwide on May 28.
For the latest installment of the artistic collaboration, Creative-director of LV, Virgil Abloh, paid homage to the NBA’s influence on pop culture and fashion in the ‘90s by mirroring the style and wardrobe of a pro-basketball player on three fashion occasions: Travel, Press conference, and arrivals at games (perfect for anyone trying to live out their NBA star fantasies).
The range features the fusion of the iconic LV monogram onto sporty and casual clothing, which includes laid-back shirts boasting the colorful lettering that spells the label’s name, and shorts adorned with the brand’s varsity logo.
Other pieces in the collection consist of luxe travel outfits including trousers emblazoned with floral motif and a logo-clad hoodie and short set. As for the press conference category, pieces include tailored suits, graphic-embossed leather jackets, and overcoats that show off a cool and sophisticated look.
Standout pieces in this much-anticipated range include Louis Vuitton’s first-ever basketball, which arrives in a 29.5” life-size edition as well as a 5.11” collectible. Also taking center stage in this collection are the hoop-inspired accessories, a signature blouson, and emblematic shorts which Abloh crafted alongside designer Don Crawley.
Be on the lookout for select items from this collection to drop on our our website when its released.
